Speed
We test shoot in three picture sizes. In each image size, we tried to capture five times and measure the time of transfer. The transfer time is calculated from the time the shutter button is pressed until the picture appears on the IPAD and time averaged. We also tried to measure the speed of video transfer, but could not produce a valid measurement because of issues with the video transfer using the camera type that we tried, as stated in the Eye-Fi site.
We also did not test because the RAW file format is only supported by the Eye-Fi Pro X2. If extrapolated, one-size 20MB RAW files produced by Nikon D7000 transfer will take 190 seconds, or about 3 minutes.
If you use the Mobile Connect X2 or X2 for shooting RAW, RAW files will be stored in the card but not transferred. If you are shooting RAW + JPEG, both will be saved but only JPEG is transferred.
If you are using Pro X2, you can configure whether you want to transfer only RAW, JPEG only, or both.
Stability, Security and Power Reach
