AMD Phenom II x6 1100T BE: Faster But Cheap

Bookmark and Share
Series II X6 Phenom processor from AMD combines high performance and low price. At the very least, the price of processors that are included in this series is cheaper than the CPU with the same number of cores from other brands. Some models Phenom II X6 with the suffix "BE" (Black Edition) is also equipped with a multiplier that is not locked allowing users to perform overclocking practices. Well, AMD has just launched the Phenom processor BE 1100T II x6, 6-core processors with unlocked multiplier which occupies the highest position in the hierarchy of AMD CPUs. How fast the CPU is compared to its predecessors?

In the table above, you can see the comparison of technical specifications of the four top processors in the range 6-core AMD CPU. All are based on the same architecture (thuban), while the difference between them lies in the aspect of clockspeed and feature unlocked multiplier contained in the Phenom II x6 and 1100T BE 1090T BE. The combination of the following hardware is used as a platform to test the AMD Phenom processors speed II x6 BE 1100T. Of course, some other AMD CPUs, the Phenom II X6 1075T, 1055T X6 II Phenom, Phenom X4 955 II, and Athlon II 645 is also included in the test as a comparison. Can Phenom II x6 1100T BE prove himself as a worthy heir to the throne replaces 1090T BE as the fastest AMD processor? The test results you can see on the next page!

AMD Phenom II x6 1100T BE

Conclusion

As can be seen from its name, Phenom II x6 BE 1100T series is the fastest desktop processors from AMD at this time. With 6 physical cores, high clockspeed and the multiplier is unlocked, the processor is an attractive choice for enthusiast users who want more performance for their computer. It is no secret that the processor series "Black Edition" of AMD's very overclocker friendly. The sale price offered was relatively affordable. You just spend Rp 2.481 million to bring home this processor.

However, what if we compare the Phenom BE 1100T II x6 with other processors from AMD, especially fellow Phenom II x6? Although the Phenom II x6 BE 1100T is a hexa-core processors from AMD's fastest, do not forget the "sister", Phenom II x6 BE 1090T which is still available in the market with a price range of USD 2.119 million. What is the difference in price of Rp 300,000 can be used as an excuse to buy a Phenom II x6 BE 1100T, the processor with the technical specifications set just slightly higher than the 1090T BE? The only difference between II x6 1100T Phenom 1090 BE and TBE is located on the second multiplier magnitude of this processor. Phenom II x6 BE 1100T has a slightly higher clockspeed (3,300 MHz, compared to 3200 Mhz on the 1090T BE) for using the default multiplier is slightly larger, namely 16.5 x compared to 16x on BE 1090T.

Do not forget also that Phenom BE II x6 1090T also has a multiplier that is not locked. That is, with this processor, you can simply raise the multiplier of 0.5 on the motherboard BIOS menu to match the default speed of the Phenom II x6 BE 1100T. Even if both run at standard conditions without overclock, the difference in the performance of both processors will not differ much. Our testing shows that the performance of Phenom II x6 BE 1100T only 3-7% higher than the Phenom II x6 1075T dibanderol approximately USD 600 thousand cheaper.

However, for users who do not want to bother overclocking to obtain the highest performance, the Phenom II x6 1100T BE may be an option even though the price difference is relatively far from the Phenom II x6 BE and Phenom II 1090T 1075T x6 remains difficult be justification.

Maybe Phenom II x6 BE 1100T can be seen as a step of pre-emptive strike before the emergence of AMD processor series Sandy Bridge's competitors. Phenom II x6 BE 1100T can be a stumbling block if the performance and overclockability-it-was able to match or exceed the future of Intel processors are. We'll wait!
